Phoenix Cross racing her way to Hartlepool Docks to deal with a ship that broke its moorings.
Due to extremely strong Gale Force winds on the Saturday afternoon (3rd October 2009). The Dutch registered general cargo ship Elandsgracht, broke her moorings in Hartlepool Docks. Once free it was reported that Elandsgracht struck a fishing vessel in the docks. Tees Pilot launch was soon on scene to help deal with the incident. Svitzer Tug Phoenix Cross was summoned to help assist with the recovery of the Elandsgracht back onto the Hartlepool dockside.
